Greta Minthorn (IN)
HRBI Newsletter Editor theminthorns@gmail.com Greta has been showing Dwarf Hotots for the past 5 years and finally got me (her mother) talked into letting her expand and enter into the 6-Class world -naming -Blanc de Hotots. She obtained her first pair September 2018 and hasn’t looked back. She loves going to shows with the RAREST ARBA recognized breed and even won a BIS this March 2019. In June we welcome our first litter. Greta’s younger sister also shows rabbits, but her breed is the American Fuzzy Lops (so no competition between them). |
aKaty Lowrence (IL)
HRBI Youth Liason blancdehototyouthliason@gmail.com Hi everyone! My name is Kathleen but I go by Katy. I have the pleasure of becoming the youth liaison for the Blanc de Hotot International Group. It is a pleasure to take on this roll! I am excited to get to meet others within our breed! A little about me... I am very involved with 4-H and that is what got me started in showing rabbits. I began with, and still raise Holland lops. I have raised those since I was 7 years old - half my life!! My sister and I have a few Netherland Dwarfs as well. We have started to raise dwarf Hotots as well, both chocolate and black banded. We have a farm with Angus cattle, chickens, guineas, ducks, sebastopol geese, cats, and Californian rabbits. I love spending time with my friends and family, with my rabbits and at my farm. Let me know what you all raise!!! |

His mother and grandparents have been raising and showing English Lops since 1991. Lucas has been a member of his local 4-H club for 6 years and has expanded his Rabbitry to include Himalayans, Havana’s, Tans as well as his English Lops. This past year he had the honor to win best of breed English Lop at the Reno Convention with his doe Mountain Dew. Lucas recently started raising Blancs with his mother and is now starting to get his first litters. He is so excited to start showing the new babies and hopefully encourage new breeders in our area. |
Piper Phillips (IN)
Piper started showing in 2009 and is very excited to include Blanc de Hotots in her herd. As a registrar and youth contest participant she has had the opportunity to see every ARBA recognized breed, and has been fascinated by Hotots for years. Piper is a dedicated 4-H’er and enjoys connecting with people through rabbits. She looks forward to showing her own Hotots and being involved in the club. |
Katie, Emily and Sadie Keating (TX)
TinyTexansRabbitry@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/TinyTexansRabbitry/ The 3 sisters run Tiny Texas Rabbitry and currently focus on Blanc de Hotot and Dwarf Hotots. The girls’ interest was sparked by a Spring Break visit to see Stacie Grange and her beautiful SLG Farm down in College Station, Texas. They received their first 3 Hotots as a Christmas gift in 2018 thanks to CA friends, Julie Bisch-Pollock and Jim Rothlisberger. The girls are all members of FFA and are in Agriculture Leadership programs at school. This will be Katie and Emily’s 3rd show season, and Sadie’s 1st with FFA. They love their rabbit family and share a passion for preserving this rare breed! |
